If anyone still comes to this webpage for any reason, I'm sorry that I never said anything about the band not playing or anything. The last show at Joe's depressed me and the departure of Kate as a creative force left me floundering.. I tried to continue, but the various prospective members all lived in different places and practices were hard to organize.. I didn't really try, honestly. I got tired of the indie-pop stylings that we were doing. Also, my recorder broke and was in the shop for a long time, so there won't be an Equators song on the PlastiqMusiq Unsigned Artist Comp. Sorry. Catchy choruses and clever lyrics just don't do it for me like they used to. I dig the moody and conceptual a lot lately. Check out most recent releases by Joy Electric and Radiohead. Sheer brilliance. I got my recorder back and i'm sort of experimenting around now. The Equators aren't officially over.. If can get something cool done, Megan and I may play somewhere sometime.. Send me an email if you want to be put on a list to be notified of further Equators activities.. which may eventually take place. Email me at Lostplot1@aol.com.

Tonite's show was terrible. That's for the record. If anybody saw it, please don't think it's representative of the band. I'm a little up-in-the-air right now on the compilation cd. I don't know if it's gonna happen. It's too much pressure.. Maybe it isn't.. If it happens, it definitely won't sound like the band sounds live.. it'll probably be a familiar Equators song, but recorded in a different style or something.. it won't be rap-metal or anything so don't fret.... it'll be pop.... probably with an 80's european tinge... not with all the cheezy keyboards though...

This is James Equator and this is my first post. The other ones were made by web-genius Diana (WGD). thanks, WGD, for your contribution. Also, many thanks to everyone who keeps coming to the shows every week even though the one last week was pretty rough...
MANY thanks to the awesome Equators fans who came to the Savvy Music Meltdown just to see us! I hope you stayed for the Zombie 5/ADN spectacular.
In the news, this Friday will be Kate's last show with The Equators, so please come see us and wish her best of luck as she heads off to school at Swarthmore. Also, we've been PERSONALLY invited (seriously! hehe) to contribute a track to a compilation cd being put together by Ronnie Martin of the California synthpop band Joy Electric (we're cool by association). It'll be out on plastiqmusiq records later this year or early next year. Along with recording this song, we're gonna be recording a bunch of other tracks and hopefully we'll have something nice put together for you to buy and listen to in the comfort of your own home. Also, if you saw my statement about rock and roll and dreams and guitars in the Savannah Morning News, ... haha.. er.. take it with a grain of salt. Everybody be careful what you say when somebody tells you they "need a quote".
The website's design is complete upon my part. I exit, stage left. -D

Still working on this thing sporadically (cough, lies, cough), but hopefully it will be up-and-running somewhere before the turn of the next decade. Until then, remember these three very important things: 1) The Equators (being the band this page is for) play at Savannah Joe's (in Savannah Mall, by the Belk - directions) every Friday night at 7:00 pm. Most of the shows last an hour or so, most of the time to fix errs that had not been fixed during practice. 2) Pictures will arrive soon that are from both the Music Meltdown (August 11) and the Savannah Joe's show from August 17th. 3) The current band member list is continuously alternating into a crazy mix. Maybe we all should go around saying we're in the Equators. -D

Testing this updating system to make sure all of the kinks are nice and smoothed out. All other fixtures will be serviced, this place will move to a new address, and everything will be steady for future updating schemes. Best of luck. -D
